About the Aboriginal Health Worker Courses
Aboriginal Health Worker Courses, CRANAplus, remote health course
Aboriginal Health Workers are an integral part of any remote emergency team and as such need to have access to the same knowledge around the principles of care for the critically ill or injured patient or the pregnant woman.
The Emergency Care courses are for Aboriginal Health Workers and have been designed to meet their need for further education in Emergency Care.
The contents of the program will be flexible and adaptable in it's ability to meet the needs of the participants.
AIM
To have local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island Health Workers skilled to participate in the necessary emergency care for their communities.
SPECIAL NOTE
Aboriginal Health Workers are eligible to register for the standard REC and MEC courses. CRANAplus encourages the team approach to patient care in the remote setting and as such Aboriginal Health Workers are a core component of the team.
Course Dates 2010:
Darwin February 22nd to 24th (REC)
Alice Springs March 23rd to 25th (REC)
Alice Springs May 25th to 27th (MEC) *note this is a Male only course
Barkly July 6th to 8th (REC)
Layhnupuy August 25th and 26th (REC)
Alice Springs September 7th to 9th (MEC) * note this is a Female only course
